Read what our Vietnam Hill Tribe Textile Tour participants of 2017 had to say about their fashionable adventure with us.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA“I still can’t quite believe that the adventure we shared really happened. Each time I talk about it in grey England the wonder of it touches me again. We were so privileged to be brought together by a woman as inspirational as Donna Bramhall, who shared her knowledge and experience of textiles, and the wonderful people who made them, so generously. Everyone was important in making the experience so special, but it could not have happened without Donna, aided by the ever patient and cheerful guide Emma. We all said at the time that each day was so rich in sensations and experience.”

“To go on tour with Donna is to be taken under her wing. Her knowledge and passion for textiles is so inspirational teamed with a equally wonderful tour guide who is loaded interesting information about Vietnam. It was such an authentic and true experience with the perfect blend of reality and comfort. To sit with the village women and learn their art has refueled a passion inside of me. I have the most incredible & colourful memories of an adventure filled with delicious food, incredible sights and beautiful people who make some of the worlds most amazing textiles. We had such an amazing time.”

“I loved so many things about our tour, the fact that we were one big group of LADIES was amazing as there was so much creative fun loving energy between us all, and by the end we felt like a family. I loved all the artisans we learnt from, I loved learning about all the crazy processes the textiles go through such as; dyeing, embroidery, weaving, and how it all comes from nature. I loved the bus rides, I loved all the food, the rice wine and even the outdoor toilets. This tour benefited me in so many ways, I felt like we were just in another world for 2 weeks.”

“WHAT A BREATH TAKING GENUINE EXPERIENCE! The beauty of spirit of the mountain women of Vietnam, and the mountains, has awakened in me a vitality of heart & spirit I did not realize I had could have. The professionalism of our driver and tour guide provided an environment for our small group to receive what our workshop hosts had to offer and it was so much more than textiles. Thank you Donna for your courage to follow through on your dreams and for allowing us to be a part of them!”

“Donna brought to life the images on the internet. It was a Magical Mystery tour… a tour for all the five senses and a few others… senses of wonder, adventure, camaraderie and girl power to name a few.  Our lovely, cheerful and intelligent tour guide bridged the language barrier seamlessly. I cannot begin to describe the skills that these female artisans possess, its off the charts.  It was such a treat to sit and work with them work, and to be let into their marvelous families for the day.”

“Everything was just amazing, honestly! This tour has benefitted me in so many ways, above all it made me appreciate and understand how much work is goes into creating the different textiles and fabrics. The women make everything from scratch, and because we learned how to create these things for ourselves it opened my eyes to see that practice does make perfect. If you’re debating whether or not you should go on a Haute Culture Textile Tour, just do it! Its so worth it. I am definitely planning on going on another tour but first I gotta save up 🙂 I met so many amazing people, made new friends, and got out of my comfort zone on this trip!
